EMR is managing a task order for OU-5 remedial investigation, OU-3 annual monitoring, and OU-2 long-term monitoring. The scope of work includes installation restoration sites that fall under the Installation Restoration Program within the Defense Environmental Restoration Program.
Throughout the course of this five-year contract, EMR performs site inspections, remedial investigations, site characterization, studies to determine the nature and extent of contamination, evaluation of remedial alternatives, remedial design, remedial actions (construction and operations), remediation of contaminated sites, long-term monitoring and management, and incidental construction associated with environmental remediation activities at hazardous substance and waste sites.
Remediation is being conducted in accordance with CERCLA, SARA, and National Oil and Hazardous Substances Contingency Plan requirements, with regulatory coordination as appropriate of the Alabama Department of Environment Management of USEPA Region 4.
